Current Opportunities

Nia Weaving grows intentionally.

Opportunities open at different times throughout the year and may involve periods of discernment and a phased approach.

  • Role Summary

Flow Navigators support the operational unfolding of experiences across the Nia Weaving ecosystem.

This role is responsible for guiding the movement of creative projects from planning into lived reality. Flow Navigators help ensure experiences unfold with care, precision, and continuity while remaining aligned with the original intent of the work.

    Flow Management and Responsiveness

    • Help guide participant flow and pacing throughout experiences

    • Monitor timing, transitions, and environmental setup

    • Anticipate operational friction points and support real-time adjustments as needed

    Administrative + Operational Support

    • Coordinate supplies, vendor communication, and logistical preparation

    • Support calendar management and event-related communications

    • Help identify opportunities for improving flow, clarity, and participant experience

    • Contribute to the ongoing refinement of operational systems and practices

    What This Role Is Not

    Flow Navigators do not:

    • Lead facilitation or design core experiences independently

    • Define organizational direction or philosophy

    • Function as generic administrative assistants disconnected from the work itself

This role is embedded within an experience-centered practice and requires sensitivity to timing, atmosphere, communication, and relational dynamics.

    Ideal Candidates

You may be a strong fit if you:

    • Enjoy coordinating moving parts in thoughtful and human-centered ways

    • Are detail-oriented without becoming rigid

    • Can remain calm and responsive in live environments

    • Appreciate design, hospitality, facilitation, community work, or creative operations

    • Are comfortable balancing structure with adaptability

    • Communicate clearly and follow through consistently

    Backgrounds may include:

    • Event coordination

    • Hospitality or retreat support

    • Studio or creative operations

    • Program logistics

    • Community-centered administrative work

    • Production or behind-the-scenes coordination

    Work Structure

    • Project-based to start, with Nia Weaving onboarding to take place before, during, and after projects

    • Some evening or weekend availability may be needed for events

    • Hybrid work depending on project needs

    • Based primarily in Detroit and surrounding areas

    Growth Potential

As Nia Weaving grows, Flow Navigators may have opportunities to:

    • Take on larger operational responsibilities

    • Support cross-pathway initiatives

    • Help train future operational team members

    • Expand into specialized coordination or program support roles
